The approach is informed by Edgar Morin’s complex thought and his contribution to UNESCO’s reflection on education for the future. It treats context, uncertainty, interdependence and the relationship between parts and wholes as central to learning.
Planetary Humanism provides the ethical horizon: dignity, plurality, shared planetary belonging and responsibility.

Place knowledge within histories, systems and consequences. Context helps learners understand why ideas emerge, how conditions shape them and what they may affect.

Relate disciplines, cultures, scales and perspectives. Connections make visible the interdependencies that fragmented learning often leaves unexplored.

Test assumptions through exchange and disagreement. Dialogue helps learners encounter perspectives that challenge familiar categories without requiring immediate consensus.

Examine meaning, uncertainty and responsibility. Reflection creates space to consider limits, consequences and the ethical dimensions of judgment.

A tool for navigating complexity.
The Knowledge Center is the Forum’s central and flagship knowledge-navigation infrastructure. It connects sources, contexts, timelines, geographies and comparisons, making relationships across knowledge easier to explore.
It supports education but is not limited to it. AI supports exploration under human stewardship; sources, scholarship and human judgment remain essential.
