Planetary Humanism · Complex Thought · Dialogue · Action
One Planet. Many Civilizations. One Shared Destiny.
An international platform for thought, dialogue and action, advancing Planetary Humanism for an age of complexity.
Why Humanism, Now
Climate change, technological disruption, geopolitical tensions and declining trust are interconnected expressions of a wider polycrisis.
The World Humanism Forum brings together cultures, disciplines and generations to reconnect knowledge, deepen understanding and cultivate responsibility. It works alongside existing institutions, creating environments where dialogue can build trust and collaboration.
About the Forum →
The intellectual foundation
Edgar Morin’s work is one of the central intellectual inspirations of the World Humanism Forum.
His thought helps us understand why the crises of our time cannot be approached through fragmented knowledge, isolated disciplines or simplified solutions. It invites us to reconnect what has been separated: the individual and society, knowledge and responsibility, humanity and the living world.
The Forum carries this inspiration into a contemporary and intercultural exploration of Planetary Humanism, education, leadership and action.
The Framework
Four connected practices guide the Forum. They are not a linear method: each strengthens the others.
Create the conditions for genuine encounter across disciplines, sectors, cultures and generations.
Reconnect knowledge and read contemporary challenges through the lens of complexity.
Turn conversation into trusted relationships and continuity between people and institutions.
Carry understanding into education, publications, partnerships and responsible initiatives.
Encounters that shaped the journey
A selective record of conversations that informed the Forum’s intellectual journey. The complete archive preserves their original context and does not imply endorsement, partnership or participation unless explicitly stated.

Education for a Complex Future
The future of education cannot be reduced to employability, technological competence or adaptation to change.
The World Humanism Forum is developing an educational platform grounded in Edgar Morin’s thought, Planetary Humanism and dialogue among intellectual and ethical traditions.
Connect knowledge, context and systems rather than approaching problems through isolated fragments.
Develop judgement, intellectual humility and the ability to revise assumptions responsibly.
Listen across differences and sustain dialogue without erasing disagreement.
Translate awareness and care into accountable decisions and action.
