The Forum supports judgment. People and institutions decide.
The Forum does not prescribe one universal response to the polycrisis. It strengthens understanding and contextual decision capacity; decisions and actions remain with the people and institutions responsible for them.
Governance in the Current Development Phase
Current Stewardship
At this stage, the Forum’s strategic direction and stewardship rest with its founder, Claudio Pedretti. He conceived the initiative, developed its founding architecture and financed its initial development.
Horizon Strategies is the Forum’s current strategic and technical development partner, supporting design, digital infrastructure and implementation. Future advisory, academic or governance bodies will be presented only once they have been formally established.
How the Forum Relates to Other Institutions
Public Purpose and Collaboration
The Forum is not intended to replace or compete with institutions already working in research, education, culture, policy or philanthropy. Its role is complementary: to offer a coherent method, knowledge-navigation tools and spaces for interdisciplinary and civilizational encounter.
It seeks collaboration with foundations, universities, cultural and research institutions, international organisations and public bodies. Each partnership should define its purpose, responsibilities, attribution, independence and intended public value.
The Forum enables connected understanding and more conscious human judgment. It does not prescribe universal decisions or actions.
Our History
The Forum emerged from a personal and intellectual journey. A conversation with Edgar Morin became a friendship and a continuing dialogue. That dialogue inspired a book, a jointly authored public reflection, and the ambition to build a platform capable of carrying these questions into new generations, cultures and institutions.
The World Humanism Forum now connects this foundation with international dialogues, the Knowledge Engine, Understanding Religions, education, publications and institutional collaboration.
